2026 World Horseshoe Tournament

Visit Wausau is proud to host the 2026 World Horseshoe Tournament at the Greenheck Turner Community Center in Weston, Wisconsin. This two-week national event, taking place July 13th through July 26, 2026, will bring thousands of athletes, families, and spectators to Central Wisconsin, showcasing our community as a premier destination for sports tourism. The tournament is expected to generate significant economic impact for the region through local lodging, dining, and attractions. Looking for RV Options?

These are the closest - County campgrounds, including Big Eau Pleine ParkDells of Eau Claire Park, and Marathon Park are available to those looking to camp from May 1st through October 31st annually. A portion of the campsites at campgrounds may be reserved while some sites are available to campers at Big Eau Pleine and Dells of Eau Claire on a first-come, first-serve basis only. Sites at Marathon Park are by reservation only.  Campers are welcome to self-register on-site for up to 3 consecutive nights in any campsite that does not have a prior reservation. Check in time is 3:00pm and check out time is 3:00pm.
