Get ready to ignite your excitement because the fireworks are making a triumphant return to the Greater Wausau area this July.
On July Fourth evening, the Wausau Events and Festival Foods fireworks show will light the night sky over the Wausau Airport, looking toward the river. This event will allow you to view the area's largest fireworks display for FREE! The event can be accessed from the Emerson or Elmwood Blvd. gates at the Wausau Airport. Event gates will open at 6 PM, allowing attendees to listen to the music and enjoy the beer tent & food vendors before the fireworks show at dusk!
Parking is available on city streets surrounding the airport for this event.
This event will take place rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, the event will be rescheduled.

The upgraded location will allow for larger fireworks than used in previous shows, making it northern Wisconsin's biggest fireworks display.
