"Community, aesthetic, and darn good brews." Their words not ours, but we agree! Angie, Logan, and Hunter believe in "dang good coffee" and strive for consistency in each cup. The charming coffeehouse provides a welcoming space and makes you feel at home. Brewing Collectivo Coffee from Wisconsin, you'll always have a good cup when visiting Tucknee Coffee Company. 
 

The Pickle Jar - Grinds and Finds

Although it may be winter and a warm beverage may be necessary, The Pickle Jar offers more than just coffee. The coffee shop is located on the Northeast edge of Wausau and strives to bring a neighborhood atmosphere to the area. With an inviting space to grab cold or hot beverages and pastries, you'll also find retail space to find unique gifts or items to treasure. They source their beans from Rusty Dog Coffee, another Wisconsin roaster that shares Doug and Alicia's passion for giving back and community support. 

 

The Ugly Mug

Located in the Historic Washington Square Mall in the heart of downtown, this is a great little breakfast spot. Stop in for a coffee, pastry, breakfast sandwich, or smoothie. They serve kombucha on tap, have vegan menu options, and even brew their chai tea in-house!

 

Whitewater Music Hall and Brew Works

While "coffee shop" might not be in the name, Whitewater is a must-stop for an excellent coffee or warm beverage. The space has large windows with a view of Rib Mountian and plenty of seating options, whether you want to get some work done or relax in the lounge chairs for a catch-up with friends. Whitewater is committed to quality, local and regional sourcing, sustainability, and diversity. It is more than just a coffee shop brewing their own beer, serving up fancy cocktails, and frequently providing event space with live music. 

 

Clean Slate Coffee House

📍 1027 E Grand Ave, Rothschild
Clean Slate is a relatively new coffee house focusing on specialty coffee featuring locally roasted coffee and espresso. They source their beans from a nearby roastery, Redwood St. Roasters. The space encourages customers to write and draw on their two chalk walls and will likely host small art-related events in the future. 

 

Vino Latte

There is a whole lot more to Vino Latte than just coffee. They offer excellent craft coffees and delicious, reasonably priced, made-to-order food. The location is perfect for small to medium groups with the possibility to rent their private room. When you are all filled up on caffeinated beverages, you can unwind with a glass of wine or grab a unique bottle to take home.
