Entries must be recieved no later than 5pm, Monday May 21st

$5 Per Individual Event
$20 Per Relay Event

$3 Splash fee per swimmer entered
$8 Badger State Games Registration fee must also be paid (Paid with a separate check)
Heat Sheets: $4.00 per day

Registration fees should be made payable to WYNS, Badger State Games registration fees should be made separately and payable to Badger State Games.

T-Shirts: All athletes will receive a Badger State Games T-Shirt. Coaches please fill out the attached t-shirt form with the sizes and quantities you need for your team. Return form to Nichole Blennert at swimwyns@gmail.com with your meet entries that are due on Monday, May 21st.



Registered swimmers are welcome to participate. Swimmers who are not registered in USA-Swimming are also welcome and encouraged to participate.

Age is as of June 9, 2018.

Include hard copy back-up, waiver and fees. Individual Entries: If the swimmer is not currently registered with a recognized swim team, please email meet director.

Entry Limit: Each swimmer may swim for a maximum of 4 individual events per day with a maximum of 8 total individual events per swimmer for the meet.

Facility: 25-yard pool with 8 lanes. Starting pool depth is 9 feet.  Turning end is 4 feet deep.
The Competition course has not been certified in accordance with
104.2.2C (4).

Timing System: Daktronics timing system and touch pads will be utilized, along with two back-up timers for
each lane.


Rules:
USA and Wisconsin Short Course rules shall prevail. All USA-Swimming registered swimmers are welcome to participate. Swimmers who are not registered in USA-Swimming are also welcome and encouraged to participate.

Deck Entries: Deck entries accepted at the discretion of the Meet Referee & only to fill open lanes. Scratching one event to deck seed in another will not be allowed. Deck entry fee is $5.00 per individual event and $20.00 per relay. Deck Entry closes 30 minutes before the start of each session.

Food: There will be concessions available. No food or drink allowed in pool area.

First Aid Kit: Please report any on deck injuries to the Lifeguard and any injuries outside the pool should be reported to the main deck. A first aid kit is available through the lifeguard.

Lockers: Seperate age and gender locker rooms are available. Swimmers are responsible for securing their own belongings. WYNS and the Woodson YMCA are not responsible for lost articles. In accordance with the Federal Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 - the use of camera phones or video recording devices in the locker rooms is prohibited.

Drones: Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venues (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) anytime athletes, coaches, officials, and /or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval by the Program Operations Vice Chair.

Lost and Found: Located at the Member Service Desk. After the meet, check or call the Aspirus Branch for any lost and found items. (715-841-1850)

 

Awards:
Awards: Medals will be awarded in all age groups and masters for individual and relay events: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Ribbons will be awarded 4th - 12th for individual events in the 8 and under, 9-10 and 11-12 age groups.


Format:
8 and under swimmers may report to designated staging area. 8 and under relays will not be seeded. All other swimmers report to the blocks prior to your event. This is a pre-seeded meet. Heat/Events may be combined due to time constraints, but will be awarded separately. Award breaks will be 10-15 minutes in length.

Conduct: *All coaches and/or parents/guardian are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers. Any violation such as improper behavior or damage to property, etc. may result in removal of the swimmer from the meet and/or disqualification of swimmer’s individual events.

*Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

*Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.

Warm Ups:

Saturday Morning Session (9-10 and 11/12):
Warm-ups 8:00 - 9:00 am., Meet starts at 9:05 am.

Saturday Afternoon Session (8 and under, 13-14, Open):
Warm-ups will begin at the completion of the morning session and will run for 55 Minutes. The meet will begin 5 minutes after warm-ups have been completed.

Sunday Morning Session (9-10 and 11-12):
Warm-ups 8:00 - 9:00 am., Meet starts at 9:05 am.

Sunday Afternoon Session (8 and under, 13-14, Open):
Warm-ups will begin at the completion of the morning session and will run for 55minutes. The meet will begin 5 minutes after warm-ups have been completed.

**AM AND PM SESSIONS WILL HAVE 30 MINUTES OF CIRCLE SWIMMING WITH NO RACING STARTS. SPRINT LANES WILL BE OPENED DURING THE SECOND 30 MINUTES.

**FEET FIRST THREE POINT ENTRIES FROM THE STARTING END OF THE POOL DURING GENERAL WARM-UPS WILL BE ENFORCED FOR ALL SANCTIONED/APPROVED COMPETITION.

Saturday Afternoon Masters Session:
Master Warm-Ups will begin at the completion of the afternoon session. Warm ups will run for 20 minutes. This portion of the meet will be run as a 6 lane pool. One lane will be used for continuous warm-ups and cool down. Events will be combined at meet referee’s discretion.


Results:

Meet Results: A copy of final results will be emailed within one week and available for download from the Wisconsin Swimming website. www.wisconswimming.org

Disabled Swimmers: Coaches please contact the meet referee for any special considerations for disabled swimmers.
