Greater Wausau COVID-19 Business Resources

We are proud to represent and partner with our local businesses and are providing these lists of area businesses and resources for local residents and visitors.  As the updates are fluid and come often, we will do our best to keep this list current. If you know of a business offering services that is not on this list, please let us know by calling 715-355-8788 or by email at info@visitwausau.com.

MAY 14, 2020 UPDATE:  While Wisconsin's Safe at Home orders have been overturned and businesses may legally open, many establishments are choosing to move slowly to keep their employees and customers safe.  Each establishment will open in different phases and you will need to contact them for specific details.  Please continue to stay safe and we look forward to seeing you in Greater Wausau very soon!

Beginning August 1, as part of Emergency Order #1, masks will be required in the state of Wisconsin.
Masks will be required for all individuals, age five and older, when in an enclosed or indoor space (other than a private residence) and around another person who is not part of that individual's household.

Post photos on social media of how YOU are staying strong with #wausaucovidstrong or mail them to info@visitwausau.com and we will share them!

  • Visitors are reminded to practice proper personal hygiene to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to limit group sizes to under ten people when enjoying state properties.
  • Park users will see DNR parks, law enforcement and property staff, ensuring everyone’s safety as they enjoy the outdoors; and, to ensure social distancing guidelines are being practiced for everyone’s health.
  • More information available at https://dnr.wi.gov/covid-19.

* State of Wisconsin officials have banned access to public playground equipment as public health officials continue to stem the outbreak of COVID-19.  Contact sports such as basketball, soccer, or football may not be played on public property.  The rules are part of a larger "safer at home" order designed to slow the spread of the potentially dangerous virus.  Residents still may use the parks for solo recreational activities such as walking, hiking, flying kites, etc.
