***DIVISION RULES***
When it comes to those players who play in leagues and tournament, we should all know by now where our skill levers are at, and should be picking the appropriate division we belong in. We also know there are a few bad apples that like to play down a level because they don’t think they can win money at a higher level and take advantage of the situation given to them of different divisions. This is not fair to anyone playing. SO BSGs is hoping with this years rules, we will make it fun for everyone coming to play.
BSG division rules going forward will look like this…There will be 3 levels of competition, Competitive (Gold Division) being the highest and most competitive division out of the three. If you play in one of the lower divisions and place in the top 8 (or any of the paid spots) you will need to play up a division the next year you play at the BSG Cornhole Championships. We will keep track of all players and teams each year. Even if you switch partners (in Doubles) the next year, if one of you played and won money the prior year, you will need to play in the next level up the next year you play BSG (even if you decide to skip a year of play). Payouts in each division lower will start no high than 4th place of the division above it.
We hope this will deter players from “sandbagging” to win money and/or medals. We also hope this will also encourage players, who are on that line of being too good for one division, to push themselves and play with better players in the next level up, in hopes to some day play at the highest level with and against the best players in Wisconsin.
-----------------------------------------------------------
***MINI BLIND DRAWS***
We will try and run some mini blind draws throughout the weekend. Adding more players and three divisions will keep the boards busy for most of the day(s). If we run any Mini Blind Draws, we will run them like past years, first 16 to sign up in each bracket will be randomly drawn and given partners. They will be sent to an open set of boards to play their games. This year we will payout 1st and 2nd places. There will be no Mini BD Championships on Saturday like past years.
---------------------------------------------------------------
***All BSG Gold Medal Qualifiers will receive a code for FREE Entry into the games.
***If you are a Doubles Gold Medal Winner you must be throwing with the same person you qualified with.
***Approved Bags must be made by one of the approved ACL/ACO bag manufacturers or on the website of SixBySixBags.com (ACL Stamps are not required)
ACL: https://www.iplaycornhole.com/approved-bags
ACO: https://americancornhole.com/bag-choice/
Six by Six Bags: https://www.sixbysixbags.com/
BSG players may bring their own bags to qualifying events and the Wisconsin State Championships. Bags must be made by one of the bag manufacturers listed on the above sites and must have the company logo on the bag. Bags will be provided for those who do not own their own set.
IMPORTANT – just because a player has a bag from an approved manufacturer does not necessarily mean that they can still be used. The bags must still meet the specs outlined in the rules above. A player IS allowed to not only hold, but also pitch their opponents bags one time before their game starts if desired. If they feel the bags do not meet specs they can have the bags brought to the tournament director to check to see if they can be used. Once a game is started a player may no longer question their opponents bags nor can a player change bags in the middle of a game/match.
Finally – anyone found (or thought) to have tampered with bags they brought and used (or attempted to use) is subject to be ask to leave the tournament immediately without refund. This does NOT mean if a bag fails inspection, but rather if a bag is found to have been manipulated in any way to gain the player an unfair advantage. Bags that do not pass inspection (but not found to be tampered with) will be held until the event is over and then returned to the owner. It is the tournament directors decision as to what will be done with no questions asked.
-----------------------------------------------------------
***OPEN TO WISCONSIN RESIDENTS ONLY
-----------------------------------------------------------
All members must be a current resident of Wisconsin to participate in the tournament. If you are not a resident of Wisconsin, please check with your State Games for a qualifying tournament.

***ALL DAY MINI BLIND DRAWS***
We will run mini blind draw tournaments all weekend at the BSG State Championships. Winning one of these blind draw tournaments gains you FREE entry into the Final Badger State Games Blind Draw Championship.
All Mini Blind Draw Tournament will be $5 to enter and will be 1 Game Single Elimination.
Win and move on, loss and head over and sign up for the next Mini Blind Draw Tournament.
We will run a couple of these on Friday night as players fall out of the Main Blind Draw, Women’s, Seniors and Juniors Tournaments. We will start the last Mini Blind Draws Friday night around 9PM
Basic Rules…
We will have 16 player / 8 Team brackets at the Registration table. Add your name to one of the 16 spots.
Once a sheet is full, we will randomize the 16 players on the sheet and create 8 teams.
We will send the 8 teams to a set of 2 boards. Teams will play each other until there is a winner.
Rock/Paper/Scissors or Flip a coin to start each game. Winner of the RPS/Coin Flip picks their side and starts.
The Winning team will bring back the bracket and collect their winnings.
Each team that wins will win half the pot, $40 and win FREE entry into the Final Badger State Games Blind Draw Championship.
The other half of that pot will go to the Final Badger State Games Blind Draw Championship pot.
Once the Mini Blind Draws are over, we will blind draw all the winners for the Final Championship Tournament.
We will determine the final finishing time for the mini blind draws and starting time for the Champions based on the number of winners we have throughout the day. The more we have the sooner we will need to finish the mini’s and start the Championship*.
*Even if you win your way into the BD Championships, you can NOT play if you are still playing in the main Doubles Championship Tournament.
Important:
