The Wausau area has a variety of indoor and outdoor swimming options for year round entertainment!
For year round fun, check out Logger's Landing Waterpark at the Grand Lodge Waterpark Resort in Rothschild. Enjoy multiple water slides, tube rides, lazy river, water play structures, toddler area, hot tub, Smokey's Grill, Blue Ox Arcade and more! Mosinee offers indoor swimming at the Creske Community Center pool, complete with a slide, diving board, large pool area and adjacent whirlpool.
There are two outdoor water parks in the area. The Rothschild-Schofield Aquatic Center features a 225' water slide, youth slide, fountains, zero-depth pool entry, concessions, heated pool and more. The Weston Aquatic Center features a 300' water slide, and extreme body slide, a large drop slide, zero-depth pool entry, diving board, lap swimming, water play structures, concessions and more.
The Wausau area also has several outdoor pools. In Wausau choose from three outdoor community pools: Kaiser Pool at Thom Field, Memorial Pool and Schulenburg Pool. In addition to these pools, there is also a splash pad at Marathon Park and a splash pad/fountain on the 400 Block in downtown Wausau. Mosinee has an outdoor wading pool with a cascading water umbrella at the Creske Community Center.
Summer options also include swimming beaches at local rivers and lakes.
