Lucci's Back When Cafe in downtown Wausau offers live piano music on Friday evenings and weekends. This cozy restaurant in Wausau's historic downtown is famous for its fresh cuisine and extensive wine list. There's also the new outdoor patio for dining alfresco.

Tickle your funny bone at Calli's Grille Room at the Best Western Midway Hotel. It's the place to catch upcoming and headliner comedians on Fridays, plus karaoke on Saturday nights.

Bull Falls Brewery, Wausau's first distributing micro-brewery, features quality craft-brewed beers using authentic German ingredients. Sample beers in The Tap Room or enjoy live music and special events held in the beer garden.

The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. has a microbrewery offering a wide range of hand-crafted beers on tap and, occasionally, live music in the pub. There is also a large deck for outdoor dining.

If bowling is what you're looking for, the area has several great options. Mountain Lanes has 24 lanes and the newly renovated Back Alley Bar, offering live entertainment, a grill menu, TVs and a great sound system. The sixty state-of-the-art lanes at Dale's Weston Lanes will amaze you. Dale's is also home to the Weston Cue Club, which features a nine table billiard hall and an arcade. Their three lounge areas are comfortable places to have a cocktail or check out their entertainment schedule for upcoming live music.

A visit to The Chatterbox a return to a real local institution: the corner tavern. Inside you'll find great hospitality, old-fashioned peanuts in the shell and menu of homemade specialties. Outside during warm weather, the beer garden is in full swing with a full-service outdoor bar on the deck.

Wintertime fun can be found at Granite Peak Ski Area, and the perfect place to hang out after a day on the slopes is the historic chalet. Here you'll find a place to relax indoors in front of the fireplace or outdoors on the new heated deck.
