The well-marked trail system allows you to roam the country-side, scale Rib Mountain, and explore the heavily forested areas of the county.
Great trails don't just happen, and in Marathon County it takes a team of 30 snowmobile clubs to operate 36 pieces of grooming equipment totaling over $1 million. This investment in equipment ensures well-groomed trails for a riding experience that rivals any other in the state.
Many of the snowmobile trails are open to ATV use as long as the temperature is below 28° and snow conditions are favorable. ATV trail information is also included in the Marathon County Snowmobile Trail Map.
