At one time, brewing beer was a thriving industry in the Wausau area. Today you can still enjoy a great selection of handcrafted beers from one of three different microbreweries in Wausau.

Bull Falls Brewery, Wausau’s first distributing micro-brewery, features quality craft-brewed beers using authentic German ingredients. Sample beers in the Tap Room or enjoy live music and special events held in their outdoor beer garden.

Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company brings 16 years of experience from Madison to the former Hereford & Hops location. The Great Dane is known for its wide variety of award winning ales and lagers, hearty pub fare, and well-maintained restaurant facilities. A $1 Million renovation added a pool hall and an additional bar.

Red Eye Brewing Company has an urban industrial vibe serving artisan wood-oven pizza and craft beers from an award-winning brewmaster. Stop in for lunch, dinner or for sipping a sampler on the patio during the warm weather months.
